Political Action Committee

The SBMC Political Action Committee formed in 2014 is actually a separate legal entity from SBMC with a completely separate board however a majority of the board are automatically appointed in their capacities as officers within SBMC and the rest are nominated by SBMC’s Board. The PAC works to interview and endorse candidates elected office (currently focused on Duval County) and upon election maintaining relationships with the victors to be in the position to engage them when issues arise on which SBMC may consider taking a position in favor of or against. SBMC PAC’s efforts additionally raise the club’s profile from that of a Civic organization to that of an engaged community group returning the club to its activist roots which led to many of our wonderful accomplishments over the past 80 years.
